Privacy Policy

Last updated: December 3, 2025

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Email address when you sign up
  • Usage data and preferences
  • Information you provide through our tools
  • Optional analytics metrics such as page views, device type, and coarse location when you choose to enable analytics

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Send you technical notices and updates
  • Respond to your comments and questions
  • Send you marketing communications (if you opt in)
  • Understand aggregate product usage to make better decisions (only when you opt in to analytics)

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Service providers who assist in our operations and services
  • OpenAI and other AI service providers who process data to power our AI features
  • Third-party services essential for providing our core functionality
  • Our privacy-friendly analytics provider (currently DataFast) when you enable optional analytics

When we share data with these providers, it is governed by their respective privacy policies and we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

4. AI Data Processing

Some of our features use artificial intelligence powered by OpenAI's API. When you use these features:

  • Your inputs and content may be processed by OpenAI's systems
  • Data sent to OpenAI is subject to their privacy policy and data handling practices
  • We do not send personal identification information to AI services unless explicitly necessary
  • AI-processed data may be temporarily stored to provide the service but is not permanently retained by OpenAI

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect your personal information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Opt out of marketing communications

7. Cookies & Analytics

We do not use advertising cookies. For basic product insights we rely on a privacy-friendly analytics platform provided by DataFast. The script is blocked by default and only loads after you explicitly allow analytics through the on-site consent banner.

  • Data is anonymized and aggregated; we do not store full IP addresses.
  • Metrics include page views, approximate region, referral URL, browser, and device type.
  • No cross-site tracking, advertising identifiers, or fingerprinting.

If you decline analytics, the script remains disabled and no optional metrics are collected. Your choice is stored locally in your browser so we can honor it without sending personal data to our servers.

8. Managing Your Consent

When you first visit Z's Tools we display a consent banner with options to enable or decline analytics. You can reopen the banner anytime using the “Privacy settings” button that appears in the interface after you make a choice. Updating your preference takes effect immediately.

  • Allow analytics to load the DataFast script and send aggregated metrics.
  • Decline analytics to keep the script blocked.
  • Use the settings button to change your mind whenever you like.

You can also contact us through the in-product feedback form if you need help with a request related to your data or consent.
